We’re Social
HFL schools on LaGonave are scheduled to open on September 11th. Today our Field Director is conducting teacher orientation & training. Praise the Lord for Haitian leaders who are faithful against all odds. Keep them and the precious children in your prayers today & throughout the coming school term.
Are there challenges in Haiti? Yes! ..Are there HFL students and teachers who remain thankful? Also yes…😊🇭🇹 We’re so grateful to those of you who help us provide jobs to 68 locals in Lagonave along with consistent food for our 515 students…2 from of our leadership team recently returned from a very productive in person visit and are thankful to report that the Haiti team is delivering well…Qualified teachers are teaching..capable students are learning, and our nutritional program remains healthy….We purposely keep social media updates to a minimum to protect our in country team members but know we need and appreciate your ongoing prayer and support. Thank you so much! To God alone be the glory! 🇭🇹🙏
Pray for Haiti - Although the national news isn’t reporting on it yet, conditions in Haiti are more desperate than they’ve been in decades…We are purposeful in limiting the details of information posted here out of security concerns for our local Haitian staff who are working extra hard encouraging both our teachers and students during these times….A quick search online for current news in Haiti will provide all you need to know...While we face these challenges, know that our ministry remains focused on providing both jobs, education, and all the tools needed to carry out this mission. The Lord has sustained this ministry for 16 years and we are confident He will continue to provide even in the darkest of times..Your prayer and support in helping us do so is so needed and appreciated. John 16:33 🇭🇹 🙏
Grateful to report that, despite all the challenges in Haiti, our team of teachers continue to persevere in preparation of leading a new year of incoming students. This year we will celebrate our 16th year as a nonprofit/charity organization. Our focus remains to provide jobs and training along with real education based on truth to students in remote areas that otherwise would have no options…For security purposes we purposely don’t ”over post” but rest assured we remain in need of prayer and support. Thank you so much. 🇭🇹 The Lord provides.
Eager minds and hearts. This is the future of Haiti!

A 7.3 earthquake struck the southern portion of Haiti this morning. We have been in contact with our leaders in both Port au Prince and Lagonave and they along with their families are safe with no damage. Definitely areas of damage near the city of Jacmel. Please pray for the Haitian people.
A constant theme of prayer for the Island of Haiti has concerned the political upheaval of the past three years. Last night, Jovenel Moise, the president of Haiti, was assassinated and his wife critically injured. This signifies a more extreme undermining of the safety and security of the whole country in days to come. Thankfully both our students and teachers are safe.
Please join us in prayer for reform and a restoration of peace in Haiti. Please also pray for Jovenel Moise’s family and all those affected by his death.
Despite the many challenges Haiti continues to experience, we are grateful to report that HFL schools continue to thrive by the grace of God. From Pre-K to soon to be HFL graduates, many thanks to those who have stood with us as partners in ministry. Our focus will remain education and job creation. Please continue to pray for all our students and families in Haiti.
Please pray for Haiti. The continual political upheaval has left the people of Haiti upset and weary. The concern about the spread of Covid19 still lingers as well.
We are assured that God works even through the hardest of times and we ask you to keep Haiti, our students, and our staff in your prayers.
On behalf of all Hope for LaGonave faculty, students, and families, we sincerely thank you.
